SPSS Statistics Standard improves decision making and risk analysis with latest release
IBM SPSS Statistics Standard delivers new simulation modeling techniques to help you make better decisions and assess risk under uncertain conditions. In addition, the software includes enhancements that enable users to program in Java, import more types of data, enhance security and more.
The latest version of SPSS Statistics Standard brings you:
New simulation modeling capabilities
- Assess “what if” scenarios to predict outcomes of different business decisions.
- Simulate data according to user-specified parameters, and use simulated data as input to predict an outcome.
- Adjust the parameters used to simulate the data and compare outcomes. For example, simulate different advertising budget amounts to see how they are likely to affect total sales.
- Support the use of predictive models to calculate the outcome.
New Java plug-in
- Drive the SPSS Statistics analytical engine from an external application.
- Implement extension commands in Java so that you can share Java programs with users of SPSS command syntax.
Enhancements that build on previous releases
- Support for more data types— now you can easily import IBM Cognos Business Intelligence data into SPSS Statistics. Read custom data with or without filters and import pre-defined IBM Cognos reports.
- Ability to compare data files — increase the accuracy of your analysis by comparing two datasets or files in SPSS Statistics to identify any discrepancies between them.
- Increased data security – apply password protection to your data and output files to prevent others from seeing confidential information in SPSS Statistics.
- Explore pivot tables easily—work with output using new features such as sorting operations, a navigation pane and search operations.
